DAF offer the XF95, European Truck of the Year in 1998, for long distance truck tractor operations. The CF85, voted by European transport operators as their best truck of the year 2002, is available in 4x2 and 6x4 truck tractor configuration. Also offered is the new LF range, voted European Truck of the Year for 2002, in a 4x2 chassis cab format.

Local transport operators have conducted tests of their own and initial results confirm the DAF's superior fuel economy in South African conditions.
