QUALITY
AT HEART
"THE YEAR 2003 sees a newly structured company with
focus on providing the best quality product with back up services to a
continuously changing market demand", says Antonio Orlando, Managing Director of Iveco South Africa.
Iveco has successfully made strategic changes to the company's
structures and way of operation. "Our people share in the vision
of promoting quality in terms of both product and
services", he continues.
Iveco imports it's products completely built up but takes important
steps to ensure that the vehicles are adapted to real local conditions. In achieving this, the company has a vast choice of
components and variations from Iveco across the globe.
Parts availability is of the best in the country and we now have
systems in place to ensure it maintains this status. The principal
supply sources are Italy, Germany and local South African suppliers.
All emergency parts are air freighted to supply customers with a
non-stop service.
Pointing to the strength that lies behind Iveco South Africa, it
should be noted that the company is part of the massive Fiat group,
which apart from manufacturing a very wide range of Fiat products,
is deeply entrenched in the construction and agricultural machinery
sectors under such world renowned names as Case and New Holland.
Orlando assures the market that there will be a series of
in depth testing done on all new models introduced here, adding that he was
satisfied with the range offered at present.
The dealer network is continuously expanding to provide maximum
benefit to its customers. Iveco has also introduced a pricing policy
that would enable the dealer network to compete very successfully
in the market.
ISA is a profitable organisation. 'We are happy to
grow conservatively and avoid outgrowing our infrastructure," Orlando
concludes.
As for the product range, the new Daily is well poised to continue to
grow its share of the market. The range is now complete and we can
compete across this market segment. We now offer an extensive range of
vans, mini-busses and chassis cabs'.
The EuroCargo range will be
extended by way of model
diversification and the addition of new models.
The Heavy range is now finalised
in respect of the EuroTrakker and EuroTech range and the introduction
of the new 6X4 Australian sourced tractor completes the model line-up. |
