Drive your business

The DAF brand name in the trucking industry in South Africa has become as popular as only the best can be.

Ongoing and intensive testing and evaluation in the market has led to an improved product that makes DAF one of the few trucks that is proved to be one of the South African’s best-adapted vehicles in our unique harsh operational conditions. This led to a product that fulfill the operators demands for one of the most economical, reliable as well as an ergonomically vehicle to work with in their day-to-day demands.

Sales have been on a steady increase since the launch of the DAF product in South Africa and are still continuing on this route. The high demand for the DAF product has led to continuous re-ordering of stock to ensure a constant supply to the market.

DAF Trucks received the industry’s most prestigious award – The Truck of the year award 2007 - at the Hanover Commercial Vehicle Exhibition in Germany in September 2006. This award was presented for the top-of-the-line DAF XF 105 – which we will see in South Africa mid 2007. Something the South African transport industry look forward to.

DAF SA offers a wide range of well-balanced trucks through the range, starting with the LF series ranging from 6.0 to 18 tons. This range is fitted with the PACCAR/Cummins series engines, which offers great fuel economy, and is suitable for urban, regional and long distance applications. In the final voting for the Truck of the Year award the DAF LF ended in seventh position behind its bigger brother. The CF series has been developed for a wide range of applications, with two, three and four axle versions. The CF is the workhorse from the DAF stable and is built for performance without scarifying economy. It has a modern exterior and matching interior and its reliability makes it one of the ultimate driving machines in the industry. Top of the range is the XF95, which offers the most comfortable and economical drive in a modern styling interior and exterior space cab. Throughout the DAF series of trucks, the light chassis designs allow for higher payloads and the top performance with low fuel consumption makes the DAF a definite choice for the serious transporter in all the sectors of the trucking industry.

With a bright future and the sky as the limit, DAF SA is growing to be a top contender in the commercial vehicle industry and will always strive to be the truck of the year in the mouth of all the truckers in this country.
