FREIGHTLINER 
When Freightliner 10 years back first introduced their Model FLB in South Africa it started of where the Oshkosh truck had left of. The discontinuation of the Oshkosh left a huge void for owners whom has become used to the power and reliability of the 3406B On Highway truck engine, initially the market was skeptical but soon the Caterpillar model C15 engine proofed to be what was to be expected from a Caterpillar product 

In the Freightliner trucks Caterpillar engines have proofed them selves as reliable and fuel efficient 

Currently the Freightliner Argosy is available with the following Caterpillar engines: 

The Freightliner Columbia is available with Caterpillar C12 Engine rated as follows: 

Western Star trucks which is more purpose built is also available Caterpillar powered. The Caterpillar Models C15 & C16 suits these applications excellent.

INTERNATIONAL
South African customers now have the option to order their Series 7600 International also Caterpillar powered. In this application the Caterpillar Model C12 is offered at 380- 430 bHp delivering 1450- 1650 Lb ft Torque. 

With these offerings in products it has become more achievable to own a Caterpillar powered on highway heavy duty truck.

UNMATCHED SUPPORT 
A focused and dedicated Barloworld Equipment Energy – Power Systems sales team boast superior knowledge and experience on Caterpillar products. In a bid to ensure proper, professional after sales backup support, service and parts availability on our truck engines, we have appointed thirty TEPS (Truck Engine Product Support) dealerships across the country. 

When selected, such dealers are especially equipped with the correct tooling and training to render superior support service on Caterpillar truck engines. With thirty such dealerships already accredited across the country, we will continue to bring even more dealers up to speed into the future. 

EXTENDED SERVICE COVERAGE
Caterpillar now offers a full range of Extended Service Coverage offerings that can be purchased by customers to cover their Cat On-Highway engines against defects in material and workmanship for up to 5 years and 800,000 km providing customers additional peace of mind.
