THE TOTAL NUMBER of
vehicles increased by 7,21% from 7 951 076 on 30 November 2005 to a
total of 8 524 299 on 30 November 2006.
On a Provincial percentage
basis the biggest increase was in Limpopo Province where the vehicle
population increased by 10,67% from 352 886 on 30 November 2005 to 390
553 on 30 November 2006.
On a percentage basis, the biggest increase
per vehicle type was for motorcycles which increased by 19,57% from
233 083 on 30 November 2005 to a total of 278 451 on 30 November 2006.
