It is a well known fact that road construction works are dangerous both for construction workers and for passing traffic. It is thus that reduced speed is urged along all road works. When one comes across a truck lying on its side along a stretch of road works, one assumes that it may have swerved to avoid a worker or perhaps an oncoming vehicle and by so doing, rolled over. In other words, one usually gives the truck the benefit of the doubt and that's exactly what FleetWatch editor Patrick O'Leary did when he came across this truck in Mozambique. Shame, the guy must have been brave to risk his life to save another. However...on closer inspection...another story unfolded and the benefit of the doubt was quickly discarded and replaced with scorn. Take a look at those front tyres. The one embedded in the sand is totally bald - bereft of any tread while the other hanging in the air is not only bald but worn through. Eiessh! Viva Africa -Viva!!!!
