The FleetWatch training and development academy workshop ‘A Roadmap to Cost Effective Trucking’ convened in Johannesburg during February can be described as a most successful and worthwhile experience for all who attended the three-day Workshops. The success of the event can be ascribed to the attendance and participation of some 32 companies and individuals representing a wide variety of transport operations and interests with experience and skills ranging from known industry heavyweights to newcomers and important allied industries. Participants from Afrox, ABSA Vehicle Management, Bakers Transport, Elite Truck Hire, Engen Petroleum, Haulcon, IVECO, SAPPI, Spar Northrand and Western Cape, Volvo SA, ZZ2 and others rated all aspects of the proceedings between 94% and 98%* excellent or very good. The easy flowing and paced presentation promotes active participation and discussion among participants and presenter.
