2001:  The world acclaimed Profia is launched in South Africa.
2002: The Toyota Dyna 1.5 tonner is launched in South Africa.

2002: Toyota CEO Bert Wessels passes away on Monday 02 December at the age of 58.
2004: Toyota celebrates 25 years of market leadership.

 World History:
1995:  Microsoft launches the new Windows 95, a refinement of Windows 3.x that introduced menus and icons to the DOS operating software.
1996: Prince Charles and Princess Diana divorce as do the Duke of York and Duchess of York (Andrew and Fergie).
1997: Diana, Princess of Wales, dies in a car crash in Paris, France.
1998: Monica Lewinsky tells all about the affair with US President Bill Clinton.
2001:  Terrorist attack the U.S. by flying two jet liners into the twin towers in New York City.  
2003: Space shuttle Columbia explodes killing all seven astronauts.

SA History:

2001:  Chris Barnard dies of an acute asthma attack - 2 September 
2004:  Olympics - Ryk Neethling, Roland Schoemen, Lyndon Ferns and Darian Townsend all win gold medals for S.A.
