Refrigerated Semi-Trailer

Top quality from Trailord and Elite Fibre

Linking expertise are Trailord's Rob Da Silva (left) and Elite Fibre's Cliff Marks and Andre Jansen (right)

Trailord, trailer manufacturer, and Elite Fibre, manufacturers of insulated truck and trailer bodies, has teamed up to develop a quality refrigeration semi trailer. Trailord, known for its excellent design and manufacture standards, has developed an attractive semi trailer chassis ideally suited to accommodate an insulated body. The Trailord chassis manufactured from ultra high strength steel is entirely laser cut. It is designed by Trailord's MD, Rui da Silva, well known in the industry for his design and manufacturing expertise.

Elite Fibre has also proven to be a top quality refrigeration body manufacturer in South Africa. "Their approach to body manufacture in both the use of quality components and strict control over the manufacturing process is what impresses me," explains Da Silva.

"Over the last 6 years our warranty claims are virtually non existent", claims Cliff Marks of Elite Fibre Gauteng.

The two companies have decided to team up believing that their product offers an excellent solution to cope with the rigours of refrigerated transport. "We stick to what we know best. Building trailers is our business and Elite Fibre is an expert in GRP bodies. We want to be associated with a quality manufacturer and that's why we chose Elite Fibre. Using the best materials and workmanship is what makes a product the best on the market", says Da Silva.

Not only Trailord shouts the praise of Elite Fibre. Several fleet managers and transporters confirm Da Silva's experience especially in respect of build quality, reliability and better than most when it comes to after sales service. MD of Cape Townbased Elite Fibre; Mark Watters is proudly South African when he comments on the success of their meat carriers. The huge mass of swinging carcases imposes an inverse point load on the roof of 15 tons and 25 tons respectively for truck and trailer bodies respectively. Such stress, explains Watters is a daunting challenge to any body builder to ensure the customer will get a worthwhile, trouble free useful life from their assets.
