PAYLOADER
TWIN BIN unit gives less ‘stress’ to the bin when
tipping than a single unit |
The unit gives a 28.5 ton payload when coupled to a 6x4 truck tractor with a total of 2x17 cubic metre bins giving 34 cubic metres capacity and an overall height of only 3.4 metres. Although the bin can theoretically carry two different commodities, to date this has not yet been applied.
The Payloader Twin Bin unit is said to give less "stress" to the bin when tipping than the single bin unit. The unique shape of the Payloader bin allows for the material to be discharged at a distance from the tyres. Bins are totally manufactured out of Domex steel on a newly manufactured production line, Bin Jig, situated at the Kearney's Truck and Trailer Tulisa Park factory.
Axles are the Payloader/York Transport Equipment locally assembled units with standard parallel journals as widely found in the South African market, allowing for readily available spare parts. Suspension units are either the York Transport Equipment air suspension or the standard Payloader spring suspension with extra heavy-duty spring blade packs.
The rugged, no nonsense design of this tipper make it suitable for the African continent (on and off road conditions) and is in line with the Kearney's strategy of providing 'grass roots' trailers with no gimmicks.
