There's a new LPG tanker supplier on the market. CA Muller Fabrication, which specialises in the design and manufacture of stainless steel road tankers, has linked up with Sipre SA of Argentina to form a joint venture company, Sipre Muller (Pty) Ltd, to target the LPG tanker market.

The high pressure LPG barrels are manufactured in Argentina by Sipre SA and shipped to South Africa where CA Muller Fabrication then adds the running gear, braking systems and other components. It also, of course, provides the local back-up service.

The first two 57m³ LPG road tankers have just been completed and another 24 units are on order. The joint venture, Sipre Muller, was launched at the beginning of this month.

CA Muller Fabrication was founded in October 1999 by Christo Muller, a mechanical engineer with extensive knowledge and experience in road tanker design and construction. It is situated in the Western Cape just outside Wellington.

The company manufactures a wide range of stainless steel tanker trailers and rigid tankers, custom designed to meet any client's specific requirements while keeping abreast of international trends and standards. The company is in the process of expanding its production capacity from four to eight tankers per month.

Although in short supply in South Africa at the moment, milk is still flowing and CA Muller Fabrication manufactures tankers such as these - a 14 000 litre rigid tanker and a 26 000 litre 3-axle tanker - to keep the 'white gold' moving between farmers and processors.
A side and rear view of the new LPG road tanker shows this newcomer to be a real beauty. These tankers emanate from a joint venture operation entered into between Argentinean-based Sipre SA and Wellington-based CA Muller Fabrication.
