A new logging trailer is being manufactured by John Daniel Containers Ltd (JDC) of Mossel Bay under license form Briab in Sweden. JDC recently concluded a manufacturing and marketing agreement with Briab who is considered a world leader in logging trailer design for drawbar trailers and many units are already in operation in South Africa. In terms of design, "says Hugo Diedericks of JDC. "We expect the new logging trailer to rapidly gain market share in Africa because of the unique benefits available to the pulpwood transport market".
