SKILLS
UPDATE

Kabelo Sebetlela (21), a former mechanical engineering student at the University of Pretoria, jetted off to Germany this month after being awarded a 4-year scholarship by Mercedes-Benz South Africa to complete his mechanical engineering degree at the University of Karlsruhe’s Carl Benz School of Engineering in Germany. The Karlsruhe Scholarship Programme has been running in collaboration with MBSA and its parent company in Germany, Daimler AG, for the past nine years. The programme has produced eight qualified mechanical engineering graduates who are all permanent employees at MBSA’s manufacturing plant in East London. Well done MBSA. It’s good to see companies growing our local talent.
