Tracker, together with the Germiston Flying Squad, recently scored another trucking success via the recovery of a heavy-duty truck that was hauling more than R350 000 worth of soft drinks.
The vehicle, hijacked by four armed men at around 19h00 on April 24th in Benoni, was recovered in Germiston after the driver was driven around by his attackers until after midnight. Once released, the driver activated the Tracker in the vehicle and it was recovered within half an hour.
"We're relieved that the driver was unhurt and that we were able to recover the vehicle so quickly. It's also refreshing when you're able to return such valuable cargo to its rightful owners," says Tracker's communications manager, Gareth Crocker. And so say all of us.
Now if only the cops can bring those four hijackers to book.
