MAN Truck & Bus Cape Town has a lot to be happy about. Not only did it receive the coveted 'Dealer of the Year' award at MAN's recent awards ceremony but the dealership also walked away with the awards for the Sales Dealer of the Year and the best Service Dealer of the Year.
The dealership achieved a rating of 89%, the highest evaluation in the awards' history. Accepting the honours, dealer principal Gary Harding attributed the branch's success to the team being unified in its goals. "If you have diesel in your veins and a good brand, then nothing can stop you," he said.
Other accolades went to TAS Automotive for Best Dealer Management and MAN Truck & Bus Nelspruit walked away with the Parts Dealer of the Year Award. The overall winner in the category for After Market Service and Parts Dealers, which is represented by a network of 13 MAN dealerships countrywide, was won by Waylyn Mechanical Services in Port Shepstone.
A further highlight of the evening came in the form of a tribute to outgoing MAN Truck & Bus CEO, Adolf Moosbauer.
It was decided that a trophy for Customer Service Excellence be added to the proceedings for 2005.
This award the 'Adolf Moosbauer Award for Customer Service Excellence' in honour of Moosbauer's total commitment to improving customer relationships in every aspect of the business. The dealership that best reflects the values of MAN through supporting customer needs most effectively will in future be the recipient of this award.
Adolf Moosbauer has been asked to stay on with the company as an executive board member for market development.
