THE READER WHO sent us these pics of our most worthy ‘Moegoe of the Month’ has requested to remain anonymous. The truck pictured here is frequently seen on the R511 going towards Diepsloot township. It then turns onto Knoppieslaagte Road and travels along the R114 near Sunderland Ridge Centurion. This same vehicle has been spotted by our reader on a number of occasions - normally around 8:30 in the morning – stacked with three skips totalling an overall height of nearly 6m, if you assume that the top of the truck cab is around 3m. As our reader wrote: “The two top skips bounce merrily along as the truck travels and one wonders just how long it will be until one bounces off the truck altogether and dumps itself onto a car behind it killing the occupants.” Apart from being totally illegal, this is so downright dangerous as to be criminally incompetent. It also represents stupidity at its best. C’mon Skip Waste. You should know better than this! While we respect his request for anonymity, FleetWatch knows the identity of the reader who sent us the pics and public eye. If this exposure doesn’t do the trick in getting this ‘stacked’ truck off the roads, maybe an arranged ‘sting’ with the Tshwane Metro Police will do the trick.
