Mitsubishi FUSO 2010 will be Mitsubishi FUSO’s eighth anniversary under the Daimler Truck Group in South Africa since the Mitsubishi FUSO Canter was re-launched by Mercedes Benz South Africa in 2002. In the last 8 years the brand has proven itself as a product which is both, dependable, solid and well supported via the Freightliner FUSO dealer network. A recent survey indicated that in excess of 90% of Mitsubishi FUSO truck owners were very pleased with the performance of their Mitsubishi FUSO, and would definitely consider buying another Mitsubishi FUSO as their next purchase. 2010 promises to be exciting as it will bring with it the release of the Canter Euro 2 models in the first quarter of the year, which are now all turbocharged offering cleaner emissions, better fuel economy and better performance at Highveld altitudes. The 7.5ton GVM and 4x4 Canters will now also have tubeless tyres offering better grip, tyre life and fuel economy. In the last quarter of 2010 customers will be able to look forward to new engines and cab enhancements in the FK/FM heavy commercial range of Mitsubishi FUSO trucks that will continue to offer great performance and even lower running costs. South Africa continues to be an evermore important market for Mitsubishi FUSO Truck and Bus Corporation. Despite difficult current economic circumstances the Mitsubishi FUSO brand has continued to grow its market share in both the medium and heavy vehicle segments. “Looking forward to 2010 with new products on the horizon, we are confident that we will continue to not only consolidate, but strengthen, our position in the South African Commercial vehicle market, especially in the MCV and HCV sectors,” comments Ian Riley, divisional manager of the Freightliner/FUSO division at MBSA. “We will do this not only with model range enhancements, but Mitsubishi FUSO customers can expect to see more and more parts and service initiatives being rolled out in the near future, proving that Mitsubishi FUSO’s are amongst the lowest cost per km trucks to run in their market segments”. So when you next need a load shifted by a willing and dependable partner, just say “Fetch FUSO Fetch!”
