IVECO –
South Africa
IVECO South Africa (Pty) Ltd established in 1993, is
the local subsidiary of IVECO SpA and is located with other FIAT
Group companies at the Head Office in Midrand, Gauteng.
Over the past sixteen years in South Africa, the
company has managed to grow and capture a significant share of the
local South Africa Common Customs Union marketplace. IVECO South
Africa is also responsible for 23 Sub Saharan countries with ever
increasing sales opportunities being maximised.
The current product line-up is sourced directly from
the European manufacturing plants, and with a variety of local
adaptations performed in South Africa, are ready to be sold to be
meet the requirements and specialist demands of our local market.
The IVECO Daily, ranging from 3.5 to 6.5
tons, is available in a choice of models with different body,
chassis, wheelbase and carrying capacity options. It introduces new
standards of technology, performance and comfort into the world of
commercial vehicles and passenger transport, while losing none of
the sturdiness, practicality and versatility of a great work tool.
IVECO Daily also offers African professionals three important
features: the support of a “C” section long-member chassis,
adaptability to the greatest number of missions and bodies, and the
thrust of powerful and economical turbodiesel engines.
Between 10 and 18 tons, whatever the mission,
whatever the application, the IVECO Eurocargo performs. It
adapts to the most diverse situations: in town, out of town, on
difficult terrain and in extreme climate conditions. With the choice
of day and sleeper cab variants, the IVECO Eurocargo equipped
with the Tector engine (ranging from 180HP to 280HP) is widely
appreciated within Africa for its excellent torque and high
flexibility at low revolutions, providing best in class performance
and reliability. Apart from the standard 4x2 version, the IVECO
Eurocargo is now also available with 4x4 axle configuration
giving an even wider choice to the operator.
Firmly establishing
its place as the off road vehicle of choice, the IVECO Trakker
is offering operators the perfect combination of performance and
productivity, whilst delivering uncompromised reliability. With
product features such as the Raccor fuel filter and optional single
reduction rear axles, the Trakker has the ability to work in all
weathers over any type of terrain, from unsurfaced roads to extreme
off-road conditions, and yet still providing superior levels of
comfort and responsiveness for the driver.
Utilising Euro 3
compliant engines ranging from 350HP to 480HP, the IVECO Stralis
is able to meet, and indeed exceed, the requirements of today’s
African professionals operating in the heavy-duty haulage sector.
With three primary cab options, Stralis AD (day), Stralis
AT (sleeper) and Stralis AS (super space), this acclaimed
product has created new standards of transportation performance by
offering a superior combination of style and optimised productivity
that will satisfy the most demanding operators.
