In terms of service definition, Namibia's oldest 'garage' is Ritter's Garage in Windhoek which was founded in 1928. It was 48 years later - in 1976 - that Ritter's Toyota was appointed a Toyota dealer and in 1970, Ritter's Autohof was established in Okahandja and was awarded the Hino franchise in 1980.
Wolf Ritter, owner and dealer principal, is a born and bred Namibian pioneer whose family roots are bound in the country, a family characterised by a love of all things mechanical. Probably the most 'hands-on' dealer principal and business owner one will ever meet, Wolf Ritter has his office sited in the workshop at Ritter's Toyota in Windhoek.
Ritter's is founded on and driven by a service ethic and that is why when one meets Wolf Ritter for the first time, you cannot be anything but impressed that he dresses in technician's clothing to reinforce a message of service and identification with his service staff.
Ritter's Toyota of Windhoek services over 1 300 Toyota Dyna, passenger and light commercial vehicles every month, while the Okhandja dealership also services Hino.
Wolf Ritter has a simple, effective philosophy: " Happy staff make happy customers". This is evident in a visit to Ritter's who are proud of their tradition and Namibian roots.
